My mum's cats always preferred sitting on top of the boiler in the kitchen, except in the evenings, if the gas fire was on, Tiger would stretch out on the top of the gas fire. Only occasional smell of singed fur. on a cold day, he was not above biting the dogs tail to shift it from in front of the gas fire.
Another lay in (getting the hang of it now) - we're back from MIL's with a couple of kilos of gooseberries for jam. She has two bushes and even after picking that lot you could hardly see where I'd picked.
Today is going to be busy - Homebase then tennis this morning, then topping and tailing the goosegogs in front of the tennis this afternoon and making an amalgamation of Nigella and the Hairy Bikers' Spanish Chicken for supper. There will also be some pottering and deadheading and scrutinizing of beds as of course, we came back from visiting Nut's garden with a boot full of plants (However, I did manage to get my own back this time and took her some tomato and squash plants and a salvia cutting.)
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just had a visit from NDN, thought oh. good, maybe some dialogue, but no........ he told me to stop spying on his daughter!!!!
Now I know you don't know me, but it really is not true.
OH had already left, which I suspect is no coincidence, and I was really unsure what to say, so ended up saying that, perhaps he should call the police.
That seemed to worry him, and he went off in a huff.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
What a lot to take in. Fidget I loved that story about your Mum's cats. I can just imagine it.
Punkdoc, we (hubby and I) think that was the smart reaction from you. Hubby said that was what he would do, too.
Dove, I envy you with the Gooseberries. My little plants didnt produce last summer. I might have to look for a different site for them.
Hazel, thanks for asking about HRH. She is much brighter today, so the medication must be helping. She's still sleeping every chance she has, but I suspect it's more habit than necessity. I haven't heard from my Dr since I had the cardio echo yesterday, but I assume I'll hear if there is a problem.
id better get back to cooking the dinner. Tummy starting to rumble.
Morning all. Pouring here again. It looks like I'll just have to dig in the rain or my plant swap goodies will snuff it.
My mum's coming at the week end so I could always do h*******k Scrape the beard off the place at least.
Punkdoc you NDN is moving onto very dodgy territory there. Mightn't be a bad idea to report the incident to the police. They won't take action but they'll record it in case there're any further incidents. I hope you keep a diary.

Already spotted Fairygirl. Only two this morning, they're slacking.
Best zip it now before I get carried away again

I have spoken to police, and they are sending one of those PCSOs round. Hopefully that might worry NDN.

Morning all.
Not sure what we are doing today, but forecast is for rain this afternoon.
Glad you enjoyed that garden DD. Looks a long way from me, about 2 hours. The restaurant looks superb, Michelin star sort of thing.
