We'll go later, Dove, when you are better. At least you aren't missing good weather today when you are ill. I hope you feel better soon.

Must go and unpack a box, still a couple of unpacked ones from the move here in February.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Morning

Neighbouring village has Open Gardens today and it's grey and mizzly. After all the challenges of keeping a summer garden looking good through the torrential downpours of the last week I think they at least deserved wall to wall sunshine for today image

Bit more hwk & perhaps SM for me. Might have to go via the GC though - I opened my last bag of compost yesterday & if I don't get it now I'll forget & run out when I'm in the middle of a big potting on session. Wonder if I'll encounter any sticky plants?

Sorry to hear so many of you are suffering with this virusey thing. Sounds so much like what I had last year - one sided sore throat & a cough that went on for weeks. Just got over it and then had a second dose. Took 6 months to get right again which is just ridiculous for a cough. (Yes I did get it checked out - nothing sinister - just b irritating).

Think there might be a coffee downstairs with my name on it - best go check - SYL

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Morning all.

Gardener down. ........ I could do without the cold in one nostril and a raging sore "one side of throat"...........

That's exactly what I've got!!!  (must be an internet virus image)

Get some soluble Panadol Actifast and some Difflam Spray (Benzydamine Hydrochloride).  You don't need a prescription, you can get it from most pharmacies - the nurse said it would help and it really has - you can use it every hour and a half if you need to - the antibiotics haven't had time to kick in yet but the spray and Panadol have at least dealt with the pain.  image

Thanks dove. I haven't had a cold in more years than I can remember and I've had two in three months. Serves me right for starting a new regime of vitamin supplements and healthier eating! Should have stuck to the double deckers and chocolate milk!

OH is a firm believer in the health benefits of ice cream - I obviously didn't have enough of it on holiday image

Another image day. . . 3 hours in the garden this morning and out again after lunch as forecast for tomorrow doesn't look too good.

Hope the sofa surfers are feeling a bit better.

Afternoon all,  Can't believe how tired I am after 4 days away.  I still haven't planted my new poppy and there is loads of deadheading still to be done on the front garden.

Visited mum and have also been to visit a friend for a coffee.  I have done another batch of juicing and the only job left today is to turn up hubby's jeans (they were a Christmas presentimage), still better late than never.

Sorry to hear everyone is coming down with bugs and viruses, hope you all feel better soon.
