Evening all - very late for me to be on here! Got home at ten - long, tiring day on two tough hills, but very good.
Sorry T'bird - but the sun was splitting the trees up there, no wind either....
Met a lovely chap who was doing a checkpoint on the ridge for a girl who was trying to set a women's record for a long distance run. It's called the Ramsay Round - 24 Munros in 24 hours! Talked to him for quite a while and then the girl appeared, already half an hour ahead of schedule. Unbelievable. I felt I needed a lie down just thinking about it!
I will catch up with you all tomorrow. I'm off to put my feet up now
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Topbird, don't ever go to China! They think we are disgusting keeping the contents of our nose!
i almost jumped overboard when I first saw it done on the Star Ferry in HK and the man wiped his hand on the back of the seat in front
Fairy what a cracking day it turned out to be hope you got photos? Sounds as if you met good company too
I got most of the box hedge cut, terribly stricken by blight but a tidy up with the shears helps. It's only 2'high so am feeling my back a bit. Have some planting to do tomorrow, took photos of the colours of my lupins bought last week at GC None are the colour on the label. They replaced with bigger better plants than before. I was very happy with the service

hope all of you with the nasty bugs are feeling better today. It's just yesterday and I had the most gorgeous day. Rosemore is having their rose festival this weekend and the visit was lovely. Roses everywhere and real easy for buying. Mostly sun shine and a piece of cake on the terrace.
Lilyp, and Topbird, what a nice subject to start my day! I told my son about Topbird's post and then laughed out loud about Lilyp's comment about China. My son is going to China in September with his class mates on a study tour and we had just been discussing immunisations when I read that. Yuk!
cool and overcast today and there's been a little bit of rain, but otherwise quiet.
Enjoy your sleep and Fathers Day, Edd. Fathers Day in Australia is the first Sunday in September - don't know why. Mothers Day in May.
We haven't got snow here at the moment, but the ski fields have got enough to ski on - according to the TV news. We've been having minus 7 every morning recently, but because there is a bit of rain and cloud, it's not so cold.
yes im awake but still in bed on my phone. it's dry outside with a pale blue sky and the birds are singing. Hopefully it'll stay dry and OH will be able to cut the hay meadows currently masquerading as our lawns.

Nice to have some Edd, but must say she looks good.

Too deep for me Edd. I'm not the slightest bit interested in politics. Give me gardening or art/craft anytime.
Good morning all, G'day Pat :-)

Hi Dove. Are you feeling a bit better? Hope so.
