Afternoon folks, glad sniffling peeps are finding remedies!
Drizzle today but like that stops me! Been in the garden all morning, two cats asleep in plastic greenhouse thing whilst I move plants about. Growing out oif their spaces rapidly, again! Moving them hasn't hurt them so far so not worrying, its a learning curve!
Downpours all day with occasional dry spells. Have spent my morning at the AGM of the AFCD - French speaking dance clubs - discussing accounts, projects, forming a new federation with the clubs in the Ligue........ then apéro and lunch and more chat with old and new friends. Home now but still living with Mr Chestikof so will take myself off for a snoozle as we're off out tonight to a Japanese restaurant chosen by Possum to celebrate the end of her exams.
Tomorrow it should be drier. I hope so as I'm manning the gates for an Open Garden hosted by friends with a 2.5 acre plot. i wa sthere for garden group in May - http://s211.photobucket.com/user/Obelixx_be/library/160510%20Fleurisart?sort=2&page=1 so it will have changed a lot. Should be ablaze with roses but I suspect they're going to be a tad soggy and bedraggled.
Get well soon to all with bugs or injuries or new bits to bed in.
Happy gardening to those who can.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Sunshine has broken out here... a dry day and I managed a whole afternoon in the garden!
What a germy lot you are! Got 2 concerts at the end of next week so I could do without a sore throat - not that I'm unsympathetic, you understand - hope all you sofa-squatters soon feel a lot better.
I've just done a quick clean up on my daughter's doll's house, made for her (by me!) 30-something years ago. It could do with a bit of a refurb really, but we'll see if it's popular with the grandchildren first. The "roof tile" paper has gone brittle, and the carpets (offcuts of thick material, including my grandmother's chenille tablecloth) have seen better days.
Third footy match in succession is on TV at the moment (yawn...). Now where's my book?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Flippin' freezin' here tonight. When I was out at about 4pm car thermometer said 12C. Have just been out to shut the shed & could see my breath. Jumper on & have just flicked the heating on as well
Think it's forecast to improve from tomorrow ....

This thread is fast turning into a muster point for the halt and the lame.
Not long back from SM. Some disgusting man turned his head to sneeze - all over me. Didn't apologise or anything
Why do men do that? - have they never heard of using a tissue, a handkerchief, at least a hand to stop germs spreading around.???
If I catch anything I'm going back to find him armed with snippers to make some new Xmas tree decorations

Shall be gargling with gin soon (just to prevent any infection taking hold you understand) - & I might have ice cream to follow - belt and braces
Good idea TB. Prevention is better and all that...
I'll join you Topbird - just in case of a relapse you understand
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Liri - the football gives me 6 hours of relative peace so I'm not complaining
That's a definite plus, Joyce.
Runny - Your sentiments echo my own.
