    Morning all!

Went to the NE yesterday to visit my Mum in her Home, and my sister, who has shingles.  Sis doesn't seem particularly unwell with it, so hopefully the anti-virals have kicked in.  Obviously she can't go and visit Mum herself though.  Mum was happy but quite "rambly", though pleased to see me, and transfixed watching me knit - very useful to have something to do with my hands when I'm with her, or it's quite tricky to fill a couple of hours.

Best wishes to all those feeling poorly - coughs and wheezes, and especially to you Fidget - what bad timing to be ill on a Highgrove visit!

Lovely photo, Pat!  We didn't get down as low as minus 7 last winter but I can imagine how it feels... time for 2 pairs of socks.

Enjoy the rain, those who need it!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Thermal underwear Liri rather than two pairs of socks. Funnily enough, while in town today with jacket and gloves, I had to strip down to slacks and cardigan and toss the gloves off. The day was sunny and no wind, so Bushman, you were right. It seems as though you've had experience of this type of weather.image

That little wallaby was showing a bulging pouch, so I assume it wasn't a fat male. I'll be keeping a watch out for her in the next months. image

Time for evening to viewing and dinner, so I'll try to catch up later.

Oh yes Pat plenty of experience of cold frosty mornings. Coldest i can remember was Minus 23 at my friends house. He called me in a panic as his hot water pipe was frozen.

    Good morning all image

Another lay in here -  then a leisurely breakfast bowl of melon during which there was great excitement as a delivery van from a local nursery pulled up outside and the driver got out image .......... then he checked the delivery slip and got back into the van and drove up the hill image  I'd not ordered anything, but a girl can hope can't she? image

We actually waiting for a delivery of garage shelving - Yodel came yesterday while we were at the SCVA so hopefully they'll try again today .............  OH will be in all day.

I've just steamed a big cauliflower so I'll make a cheese sauce in a minute and that'll be a Cauli cheese for lunch after tennis image

It's dry here and warm, mainly overcast but with some wonderful spells of brilliant sunshine.  It's amazing how much more light there is in the garden now that one of the ash trees has gone -  the veg patch is getting much more sunlight and isn't getting dried out - it can only be a good thing image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Bushman, now that is really cold. I don't think our weatherboard house could cope with that!
