Linda, Had similar scare 3 weeks ago but for a different condition, and yes, there is a need " to get it out". Hope a bed will be available soon and that hubby will make good progress. (hugs)
At least he is close to a hospital. A friend of ours who runs the diving on Cocos (keeling ) island in the Indian Ocean, had to be medevacced back to Western Australia to be treated. 4hour flight. 2 flights a week.
He's fine now. Is is treatable, so don't worry too much.
Sorry to hear of your worries.I hope you feel better for having unloaded a little. These things are so worrying, but your husband is now in the beat place to get things sorted out. I hope he gets a bed soon and that you can both get some ret. Please keep us posted on how he is getting on.
Hi all So much happens when I am away.... a short leave of absence for me, haven't been anywhere so no excuses really
Pansy, sorry to hear your news, both medical and forum related ((Hugs)) and hopes for a swift recovery
Linda, sorry to hear your news too. Hope OH is safely in his bed as you read this. My OH has the same heart issue and is luckily fully medicated
Had a nasty shock this evening when I was watering, an old bit of fence panel had fallen over and landed on my magnolia, snapping off the main 'trunk' of the plant and several others... it hadn't flowered yet, and now I can't decide whether to replace it or stick with it. It is significantly lopsided now and am not sure how well it will go.
Thanks guys-just needed to tell someone. He is in the best place-but there are times when I could just strangle him as he can be so blase about it... the bu@@er!! Thank you--I have had such nice replies in such short a time and you have made me feel so much better. xxx
Hello all! Back on here after self-imposed exile and delighted to find Pansyface has returned!!
Linda, best wishes to your husband, to you and to your family. Hope things are resolved quickly and he can carry on being blase!
Like the rest of you who signed out for a couple of days, I found plenty to do in the garden. Everything is growing at a rate of knots (including weeds, of course) - but isn't it lovely to see exuberant new growth on everything...
There's still a bit of water in the rainwater butt, however I anticipate having to use tap water before the end of the week if this weather holds. The spring supplying our cottage in Scotland has dried up, in common with others on the island, and we're having to have drinking water delivered from the local shop (and are encouraging our holidaymakers to flush the loo with sea water...)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hi-yes Liri, I managed to do loads in the garden before hubby decided to closely inspect the floor! I am the same as you with the water butts-I have 3 that are nearly empty. Flushing the loo with seawater??? Don't flush any fishys then!!!
It's hard to believe Liri - isn't it? I honestly can't remember a spell of dry weather that's lasted so long up here.
Sorry to hear your news Linda. Very frightening for you. He's in the best place though and hopefully all will be well. Quite a few forum members have had a similar scare recently. They also found it good to share
Panda - doesn't sound very promising....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

They can skinny dip instead of showering Liri
