Fairygirl, the snow didn't get to our valley. They got good dumps at Perisher and Thredbo and in Victoria. Also the Blue mountains near Sydney and Oberon, etc. that's because they on the west side of the range while we are on the east side (so the weather man said image).

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning!

Had a day at work yesterday, did an hours digging in the garden and then fell asleep at 7.30pm! 12 hours sleep later and I'm almost ready to go start digging again. Almost.

Hi Pat. Just the thought of snow is making me think that I haven't booked a holiday yet. If the pound is going to bomb, it may be Cornwall this year instead of somewhere exotic. If the weather is good, there is nowhere else I would rather be.

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

Glad your not snowed in Patimage.  It looks as though it's going to be another day of sun and showershere.  If I venture into the garden i will have to wear my midgy net on my head.  OH seems to have used all the Avon SSS when bowlingimage.  Wussimage

Hope you stay dry on the corbutt Fairy and enjoy a leisurely walk rather than a marathon.  Look forward to your picsimage.

    Have a good dayimage

G'day Pat - yes I'm back to 'normal' now (whatever that is image).

Fidget, we almost always go to Cornwall - had a brilliant time in St Ives the other week - the weather was glorious.  We've already made a provisional booking for the same apartment for next year. image

Better get the first load of washing out ...........

Better make it quick before Cornwall demands independence. Despite voting to leave, they were banging on last night on local news: they want guarantees from Westminster that they'll match , pound for pound the money that was in the pipeline from EU. Talk about wanting your cake and eating it too.

    Hey ho . another day.

Rain overnight should settle in planting in new bed. I should have it finished today then back to the coal face tomorrow.

Enjoy your weekend one and all.

    Devon.

    Morning all.

We are off to Ely today. There's a concert in the Cathedral this evening and we'll do some looking around the town first.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Morning.

Glorious day here - at the moment... Forecast for more rain this afternoon so planning to get in the garden this morning and make a start on the Hampton Hack. Always nervous about doing it because it leaves big holes in the border. But there are cosmos, rudbeckia etc to slot in and it all looks a bit of a mess after all the rain - so I know it will look better for doing.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Ever since I started diving, I stay in St Ives at Rivendell on Porthminster Terrace. I have seen their little girls grow up from bringing a basket of Easter eggs around the guests when they were toddlers, last year we had a short week because they were going wedding dress shopping for the youngest. On days when there was too much wind and chop for diving, I would visit gardens. It was used as a guest house in one of the Wycliffe dramas. The front room is still known as The murderers room. Apparently they get requests from new guests that want to stay in that particular room .
