Touch wood Fidget he's managed to keep his insides inside today; a little lethargic when we went out for a stroll this evening (we met his friends in the park and after a few minutes of madness he gave up chasing them and came back to us for cuddles; most unlike him) but he troffed down super and brought me his dental stick to hold while he chewed so he seems to be feeling alright.

It is horrid to see him get so wound up when you know you can't explain to him why he explodes! At least with IBS in people they're aware of what is happening. All he knows is one minute he's sleeping the next there's poop up the walls.

My brother has two cats from the same litter, and they were losing their hair in lumps, scratching until its raw and bleeding, generally looking a right mess. They spent hundreds at the vets. A kindly nosy neighbour cat napped them and took them to another vet and alleged cruelty. They are chipped and the new vet contacted my brother with a bill for care. You can guess what he got told.image

Anyway this went on and my brother changed their feed. The expensive stuff has gluten in. Cheap stuff  didn't . Three weeks on the cheap gluten free stuff, and their skin cleared up like magic.  Only my brother could get coeliac cats.image Logical if you think about it. Cats are carnivores and should be on meat, not cereals.

Fidget; my partner often comments that (due to my own allergies and issues) he sometimes finds it funny that the dog and I have near the same restrictive diet and that when looking for treats for either of us at least he doesn't have to think too much about who can't eat what.

Gosh what a day Fidget! I hope you feel better now.

We are in Norfolk, flight left on time despite the strike. Went to a local pub to eat. Yummy but big helpings, feel full to bursting although I left half the chips.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Yes, Clari, it was minus 7 again and frost everywhere. No good complaining though.   It IS winter, after all.

Morning all/afties Pat. Terrific pic! image

    Tuck up warm though  image

Glad you had a safe journey BL. Hope the weather's a bit better here than you've had at home recently.

Lots of rain here overnight and still raining now. Nice steady stuff though - perfect for the garden, and especially my weed and feed. I'm getting quite good at timing  that   image

We had a power cut last night though, so I went out to get on with digging the post hole for the relocation of my side gate. Managed five minutes and the heavens opened  image

I was forced to do housework till it came back on....what's that about? image

Off to work soon - hope everyone has a good day  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Morning all.

It's been chucking it down on and off all night long. Even by Devon standards, we've had a LOT of rain.

Polytunnel duties for me today. The lovely tree surgeon has dumped chipped Leylandii outside the tunnel, so I'm going to chuck the 2 year old chippings from the floor onto the beds in there and  , between showers, layer some nice new stuff. It's gonna smell lurverly in there.

    Devon.
