    Hello all

    Lovely sunny morning.

    Linda & hubby hugs.

Chicky I hope dad is progressing well.

Pat I'm sorry to hear about your son's cat.

DD I'm sure your garden will look lovely even if you & Lizzie have had a battering.

Hosta and Fairy don't work too hard image

Work is progressing well on our house, new roof complete and most of the old render has been removed and a base coat applied.

Thanks for people's wishes, Mr. Kef is now fine and won't be accessing the scaffolding via step ladder again image

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

Linda (hugs).  You had quite a shock yesterday but I hope that your OH is recovering well and the meds sorted for him.

Chicky I've also got a surplus of sweet peas in mouldy toilet roll tubesimage.  I think I'll just Bing them in by the fence and see what happens.  How is your Dad doing?

Pat I was sorry to hear about Immie.  She was such a pretty cat and your son is bound to miss her, as will you on his visits.  The good news is that your water tank will be getting a good filling.

Fairy I know where some of the slugs are - under my pots of plants on the patioimage.  I think we may get a little rain tomorrow and for once it will be welcomeimage.

    Have a good day everyoneimage

    Morning all.

Looks like being a lovely day today, but storms are forecast for tomorrow, starting tonight. This weekend, when I do my charity Strawberry Tea on Saturday and DD opens her garden on Sunday, the forecast is stormy with heavy showers. Bother it. A week ago the forecast was good.

I'm going to a memorial service this morning, the same time that our lovely elderly friends, who died in a car accident, will be having their funeral in England.

We had a spectacular storm last night.  It suddenly became very dark as we watched huge clouds sweeping towards us from the north east and then the lightening started, the thunder clapped and the heavens opened.    More expected this evening apparently and probably tomorrow..

Busy - hope today goes well for you and your friends and that the weather isn't too bad for the weekend for you and DD.

Linda - my BIL and SIL both have AF and it's kept under control with meds and changes to diet.  Their mother had it too so OH has been checked and is fine - but he's had a healthier diet and always been more active.  I hope all goes well for your OH.

I have a cake to bake this morning to take to English Conversation reunion with my scientists.  Rhubarb something since it's growing like triffids at the mo.

Minor disaster - I have mislaid the bag with all my patchwork homework - 4 table sets and 2 to finish, 11 completed blocks for a quilt and 2 pinned ready to sew, reverse applique project ready to stitch.   Chinese embroidered dragon with patchwork panel to make a wall hanging........  Off to turn the place inside out while the cake bakes.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Morning all.

Thinking of you today, Lizzie - hope your memorial service is full of happy memories.

Good news on the house and hubby fronts, KEF.  Hope you can keep OH away from ladders in the future...  image

My sympathy over the loss of your son's cat, Pat - she'll be a big miss.  My son's 12-year-old moggie died last month (she had cancer) and his other cat is lost without her.  They are getting another rescue cat to keep her company.  On a happy note, I really loved your botanical paintings - they looked so full of life!  And that looks like a really useful amount of rain in your area.

    Enjoy the sunshine, Pansyface!

Morning all. The hound and I have had a long walk (3 miles but felt long in this heat) and now we're starting a marathon washing session. So I will *technically* be in the garden... sort of.

No sign of the building work starting which means no sign of when I can start my grand redesign on the garden. :(

    Drink plenty of fluids today!!

Morning all,  another lovely sunny day in the West Mids.  I'm not gardening today as I'm off to David Austin roses, I need some rose food,  I will not buy another rose, I will not buy another rose, I will not buy another rose.......

Linda I hope Hubby is OK, lots of positive feedback on here regarding his condition so hopefully all will be well

Glad to here Hubby is OK KEF, ladders can be tricky things, Hubby broke his arm whilst staining the fence falling off a ladder and his dad misjudged the last two steps on a ladder  and ended up with a full tin of gloss on his head.  A shampoo with terps isn't to be recommended.

Hugs to everyone feeling sad today whether it's for friends or felines.
