I have more or less stopped coughing but have had a wobbly tum for the last 3 days.   Whatever this bug is it's thorough!

Hope all sofa sickies get better soon.

Today is supposed to be warm with sunny spells.  Instead we have heavy grey clouds sweeping in and strong winds so I'm expecting stormy weather.  Rain forecast all tomorrow.  Enough is enough say I.

I've been out to buy 3 more big bags of potting compost for treasures and OH has strimmed all the lawn edges and mown it.   I'm off outside to vent frustrations on weeds and then pot on when the rain starts.

Good afternoon allimage.  No idea where the morning went.  I've been carrying pots of plants around to try to find somewhere to plant them and ended up putting them all back on the patioimage.

Sorry to hear you've not been well Lily.  Hope you continue to improve.  Same to Yvie and Obelixx.  At least the cough is almost better.  It's exhausting  you are coughing all the time.

Loved your pics yesterday Wonky.  Lovely relaxed looking catsimage.

Pat E - both Hyde Hall and Rosemoor are former farm gardens bequeathed to the RHS and I suspect Rosemoor is the one Monty visited.

You can "visit" both on the RHS website.  https://www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/search-form?sortReverse=false&sort=venueTypeSortOrder

I have posted photos of a recent visit to Hyde Hall on the garden visits thread.

Meanwhile - yet another deluge here with squalls.    Lovely.

  • Hello sickies - convalescing couch here too. Aches, pains, nasty cough, headache - bleurgh, wish this would do one! Hope you're all feeling better soon :)

H is at Glastonbury this weekend, so have battled with the lawnmowing, strimming and edging myself - due to raining on and off for the last two weeks, it was VERY long - and this morning have managed to get out and do some well overdue weeding - my god, you turn your back for a week and it turns into a horror story! At least it now looks nice from a distance.... the grass is a real state though close up, lots of dead moss and weeds in it.

H is now tasked with finishing the playhouse when he gets back - the main structure is pretty much in place, finishing touches like architraving, roof tiling, painting, fitting out.... actually, there's quite a lot to do .... he'd better get on with it before summer has gone!

Obelixx, you're a star. It was Hyde Hall that Monty visited. Thanks. I'll look at your photos later.

Play house is looking great Geumimage Is there enough head height for you to have a few quiet moments to yourself?  If not, a summerhouse retreat just for you. . . . .? image

    When can I move in?....image

Just got the grass cut before the rain came on and it's been on since lunchtime. Managed quite a few other bits and pieces too, so I'm quite happy. H****work done too - a necessary evil  image

Been to get some bits and pieces. Was going to go and get some more lettuce seed - oak leaf and lolla rossa - but decided it might be a bad idea when I have a bed to pay for   image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
