Come into the cool for a while.

I shall take your advice Clari!

Morning sweaty ones and those in the frozen wastes.

A freind of mine who was in the forces was a great believer in a pint of Coke and a packet of ready salted for weather like this. Much more palatable than those nasty little sachets!

Yvie you made me laugh. When I was young (before I'd learnt stuff) I was painting the front of my first house and in a young foolish way I jumped down off the ladder and moved it along a bit with the 5litre pot of Sandtex (other brands are available) perched on top. Need I go on??? Thankfully it's water based but oh boy does it go far!!! My jumper wasn't particularly absorbant, nor was my underwear, nor my jeans for that matter... shoes didn't hold much.....image

Muddle-up -remove the hairs before the paint dries otherwise lots of touching up to be doneimage We probably still have the odd embedded cat hair but not a cat now.

Back from the Memorial Service. Our friends had a summer home in Dordogne. Thank you Obelixx, Lily and Liri.

Hope to garden this afternoon. Electrician should be coming soon to do an estimate for repairing our phone points that were damaged in a storm.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Afternoon all!

Had to go (because I'm such a loving partner) to Meadowhell to look for a black leather belt for him to get for his father's day...

An hour of searching and sending him photos later he decides he liked the FIRST ONE BEST.

To top it off M&S don't even sell gluten free cake in that store so I couldn't even get a reward.

Now having a break between ironing and cleaning to rest and enjoy my day off.

Boiling hot here today.  Had a lovely trip to David Austin roses, I bought rose food and didn't, yes you heard right, I didn't get a rose.image

Bought a clematis insteadimage.  It's Jackmanii and will be my 19th clematis in what is a relatively small garden.  But I do have the perfect place for it.image

Then I needed some  hortifultural grit to plant sempervirums.  So I popped into Ashwoods.  Ended up with a new bird feeder and seed.  Mmmm must do better on the economy drive. Oh and the lemon cake at DA's was gorgeous.

So all was going really well, then I returned home to find some inconsiderate person had allowed their mutt to leave a great steaming pile of **** right in the middle of my lawn.  image
