" oh it's a bank holiday weekend, we might not get to you until Tuesday"

    What the flip??????? Tuesday??????

Phoned round and they can come on Friday so I hope the sun comes out and warms the house up a bit.

On a plus note, Hubby just called from nursery and it looks like I've got about 10 new hostas coming home this evening.image

I hope you've got places for them Hosta, especially after all that splitting and multiplying you did.

    Come in for a cuppa.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

The nurseryman spoke to me on the phone and asked if I had H. Designer Genes, I said no, just tell hubby he's buying designer jeans and he'll be happy. ( see what I did then? )

Verdun, I thought you might ask, tee hee, so I made a list.

    enterprise

    one man's treasure

    gypsy rose

    wogon's boy

    Katherine Lewis

    kingfisher

    torchlight

    designer genes

    crusader

    tambourine

    silk road.

    majesty ( very like Liberty)

Hubby walked round calling out names into the phone and I google imaged them . Nurseryman came on later with a few other suggestions. I'm not getting them all as some were stock plants and not for sale, but most of the above list

Went to Aldi for some vegetables...

... came home with a weed wand.

Has anyone had any success with burning the weeds away? It looks potentially useful on the areas I can't dig out.

Just waiting for it to stop snowing so I can try it.

Frost at 7am, then sun, hail at noon, 1pm sun & snow, now rain image  Good luck with the wand Clari, the weeds might drown image

Hope all in pain / discomfort feel better soon.

Dove & Wonky hugs. Also hugs for LilyP's family.

I have loads of flowers to prick out but it's too cold for them in GH's and I don't want them all in the house so they will have to be leggy and get potted on deeply at some point.

Toms, cumbers, aubergine, courgettes, peppers still residing in dining room with minimal heat along with Zinnia x2, Cosmos x2, Marigolds, and Echinacea ? spellingimage

KEF damn things haven't drowned so far! Bitterly cold out there now so have built myself a nest on the sofa and shall watch Criminal Minds while Reggie snores beside me.

Runnybeak, It's been great having someone helping. Started at 8am and still working. I've decided to get him for any heavy work as I don't want any more problems with my hand. The splint and analgesics are helping thanks.  It's still sunny but cold here.
