Greenock/ Gourock/ Largs to "Rossy" , Dunoon and Millport many a time. Including trips on the legendary PS Waverley.
We've done a bit of sailing in that area - glorious. Fabulous weather, few crowds, always able to get a mooring, good seafood and excellent whisky to sip on the back of the boat while watching the sun go down. Love it all...
Glad you got back OK BL - don't like hairy landings and take offs!
Hugs for you Dove. Nice for Ma to know you're there keeping her company
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Didn't see your post Joyce - there's been a bit of new snowfall regularly on the higher hills recently, but it's only a problem on steeper ground on north and east facing slopes, where it laminates and freezes. Looking ok for Saturday at the moment -
will be heading for the hill across from Luss/Glen Douglas - Beinn Bheula.
Glad you had a good trip BL - apart from the landing! Nice that the plants have been well looked after too
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
You'll have to put that right someday Dove...and you too Hosta
Fully intend to Fairy
We did spend a wonderful wild and wet week on Skye one midsummer a few years ago. I will never forget an idyllic boat ride around the loch by Dunvegan Castle, getting face to face with the nesting sea birds and seal families.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hosta, glad your knee was sorted and that your recovery seems to be progressing
Dove, (and Wonky), sorry to hear that Ma is going downhill fast ((hugs)). Your presence will be comforting, although I know it will be hard.
Lyn, glad your dad got some rest, and that you did too
And as for me.... well it turns out I had an infection in my socket which explains why it still hurts! I now have the obligatory 2 sets of antibiotics and have been told no booze! Just can't wait for the pain to stop. Dull aches are the worst!
Hope everyone else is well Apologies that I can't name check like Wonky
I'm off to take some more pain killers before bed.....
I worked out why you thought it was a kids dose. The buccal form is used to stop an epileptic fit in children. Different use hence different dose.
I'm off to work now. I'll pop in at lunch time.
It says on the box for babies above 1 and under 5. I have given a whole dose tonight, so far it's made no difference at all, he's tossing and turning, head off the pillows. Legs out, I am frightened to even lay down for fear of him being on the floor, no cot rails so got chairs, coffee tables and cushion down the far side and my bed down the othe
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Morning Joyce. Having a quiet day, overcast and cool. We're going out for dinner tonight, this time the Lebanese restaurant which we are familiar with. Love Middle eastern food. We cook it often ourselves.
