Good morning, it's a beauty here

gerbils Dove? Have I missed something?

hoping to have the day to myself today. All the sweet peas need potted on, (nice healthy plugs from GW shop) herbs need split and replanted and the containers are half empty and ready for topping up.

hooe everyone has a peaceful day, let's hope PDoc is too!

Morning Dove/Joyce/Lily; good evening Pat image

No doubt the rain will eventuate eventually Pat .  You can have some of ours if you like.  Although having said that it hardly rained yesterday, and the f/c is dry all w/e here.  I might even cut the "lawn".

    Good holiday weekend everyone.

Idea for an expanding greenhouse. One on wheels an inch smaller than the fixed one. The smaller one on wheels, in winter it sits inside the larger one and is double glazed. In summer it slides out and doubles the available room and single glazed.like the inner of a matchbox.

There's an idea for the techie students who plague us with their intentions to reinvent the spade.

That is a brilliant idea, FB (and good morning to you).  Patent it quickly!  You've got till Tuesday to draw up the designs.  I'll help, and we can make our millions!

  • Morning all. Still half asleep even though I've been up for two hours...

Off to the village gardening society plant sale today. I may be besieged by old ladies offering me their busy lizzies and begonias....

Blast!  Another get-rich-quick scheme bites the dust.

Improvement: A layer of bubblewrap (the large-bubble type) between the two layers of glass. Extra insulation and cuts down convection currents, which would be a problem with such a large space/area of mobile air between he glass.

    You're welcome.  I'll take 40%.

Great idea Fidget and Steve - can I pre-order one?  Don't subcontract the build to Eddie Grundy, it won't need a chimneyimage

Mr C and I have decided to go up to London to do another of his "hidden" walks - last one was brill so expectations are highimage. Got gardening planned for tomorrow, once we have seen the back of the frostsimage.  In sunny surrey we saw -3 on Thursday morning - magnolia and pieris duly mullered, but think most of the wisteria buds are still ok.

Dove - in my experience, when gerbils borrow an eggbox, it is rarely returned in pristine conditionimageimageimage
