Just back from my Sunday morning Jogging Club, we managed an hour an a half today but it wasn't all jogging I'm sad to say, run 10 mins walk 10 mins, my French ladies do like to save their breath so they can talk. Lovely setting though, birds singing at us all the way.
Fairy I hope you are feeling better, as a runner the advice is always to listen to your body and I think with walking it is much the same. As you say always next week.
GWRS I love a conservatory, built one on each of my last houses.
Off to check on my seedlings and newly potted on plants now, we are supposed to be getting a shower and then after a fine afternoon - I do hope so, I can feel the weeds growing around me.
Have a good day all.

Back from the GC with a car boot full of large rocks (it's a good job the car has a big boot). £3.99 each, but 20% off this weekend to club members, less some birthday vouchers means that I paid just over £10 for nine large rocks and three bottles of beer for the Under Gardener - result! I think even Verdun would approve
I've just fed the Under Gardener with home made minestrone, promised him roast beef and all the trimmings followed by rhubarb compote and crème fraiche later on and he's agreed to help me arrange them at the back of the pond make a sort of fernery with hidey-holes for amphibians .... or rather he's insisting that he does it rather than have to pull me out of the pond I can supervise
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hi Runny, had a super trip thanks, just what I needed a little bit of freedom from responsibilities and chores, some fabulous friends in the UK too, I was fed and watered very well by all including Hosta with his Hot Cross Buns. Regards batteries - I do crash and burn sometimes and there is a bit of panic setting in regarding the running - I'm doing the a half marathon on the 22nd of May and training has been sporadic to say the least.
Dove - wish I could borrow your Under Gardener for a few days.
Hosta, glad you're feeling better, you'll probably sleep better in your own bed tonight too.
Rain has set in contrary to the forecast so looks like i*****g for me now.

Morning All,

Have a good day all.
A neighbour who sometimes lights a bonfire when my washing is out has his sheets on the line. I am faced with a dilemma:
Should I light a bonfire or put my washing out?
Naughty thoughts B 3
A heavy shower has called a halt to the weeding for now.
Afternoon all.
Just back from our little theatre trip to Torquay.
Had a good time , but not much sleep last night, ( so much for being smug yesterday morning eh? )
Just read about Lyn's Dad. I've just spoken to her on the phone and she's in pretty good spirits, under the circumstances.
I've told her the kettle will go on any time she's needs/ wants/ is able to get a change of scenery.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

GWRS, I'm a little worried about Happy Marion, she's not been on her post since Thursday, she normally writes every day
I agree, Flumpy. Isn't there someone on the forum who lives close to her? Can't remember who it is.
