Morning all. Still cold and wet but no frost. Good.
No gardening today though. I have to sew a waistcoat for a boy in our junior belly dance class for the show next weekend and I need to stay in so Rasta stays in and stays clean. She's had her lump removed - benign cyst thankfully - so has a lovely bare patch and row of stitches on her shoulder. The occasional limping is the beginnings of arthritis in her shoulder so needs a "cure" of one month on chondroitin and glucosamate every 3 months plus all post op painkillers and antibiotics for a week. Bonzo Labrador very jealous of all the "treats".
I do hope the frosts are over for everyone. Hate to see brown magnolias and worry about fruit blossoms not being pollinated. I have a damson tree that was covered in masses of gorgeous white blooms but am not convinced there were any bees around in the cold and wet and wind to make any damsons.
Good luck with the Open Day Busy - no cakes at Belgian Jardins Ouverts!
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I'm OK Hazel but this is just a simple bolero shape so no buttons or darts. Just need to dive in my pile and find a good fabric - black with a bit of sparkle but not girly.

Hazel - I chose my new machine because it does good buttonholes. Always do a trial on an offcut first with the layers and a bit of interfacing like in the item you're sewing to make sure it's OK.
Steve - not saying anything yet. Very wet here overnight but no frosts and the wind has calmed. Cautiously optimistic I can get my baby veggies planted out soon but not today. Busy with dog cuddles.

Thank you obelixx. Did you see my post to say the Détauper exploded? Made me jump! Glad Rasta's lump is benign.
Excellent. It is a good bang and very effective and so satisfying.

Is spring here? No rain since yesterday! I've actually cut the "lawn" this morning, as well as bundling up a load of débris for collection.
