My little one came back for food last night, I think she's travelling quite a distance at night to get here as it seems intermittent, saying that she could have a hog lets!

    Hi,

Just a quick update,  I saw 1 last night in the Perspex  feeding box and 2 huffing at each other in the lower part of the garden, all the food is going every night.

will try and get a photo soon.

Wonderful Joy, what a fantastic job you're doing. I can't get mine to keep still enough for a picture. This young one is a road runner speeding at 5 mph.

  • I would love to support local hedgehogs. However we have cats, and very bold foxes also frequent our garden. Would that not be a problem? I did help a little last night. - slowed down to allow a hedgehog to keep crossing Theo as in front of us :)

    See original post

Cats aren't an issue with hedgehogs at all. Dogs need a little supervision but will mostly be put off by their spikes. Foxes generally speaking are fine with hedgehogs, they even sometimes eat beside them if people wish not to use a hedgehog feeding station to keep them out. The only time an issue may arise is if you cease from feeding the fox once started. When I had my cat, I found it easier as the hedgies would share their food image
