Thanks Zoomer  - I may have a try at making a cake for the show - the show book says Summer Fruits - so will look up recipes

Went to the allotment today got some dahlias out, sowed more peas and moved self seeded morning glory to wigwams so many self seeded ones still loads left and not sure what to do with them - where to put them - got really wet as sudden rain

Later de weeded the areas around the plants - other end of plot

I've foxglove which have self seeded in back garden, I'll pot some up for the plot.

Lots of fruit to harvest, gooseberries, red, black and white currants, I need to net them. Not many strawberries on new patch but lots of runners

Was going to enter some chillies in the any other veg section, how do the  judges know I've grown them, do I leave along stem? And how many do I show would three chillies be ok. .?

Been out planting today on plot zinnias, marigolds and coreopsis, re planted lots of morning glory self seeded

Trying to get as much done before judge comes sometime in July

GWRS maybe ginger harder to grow than we think, would be good if they put the reciepe in the booklet - they do for victoria sponge but others free range as they change the cake every year

Zoomer not sure with chillies as not in the booklet so no tips

GWRS I have just sown more peas direct in soil last week and they are coming up

Been to the allotment yesterday doing some planting bit late but gladioli bulbs, small sun flower plants some statice plant lets all in the area cleared the other day, Was a hot day my feet burning in my muck boots

Today a lot more shaking of soil trying to get rid of the weeds and glass and rubbish mound from before where I dug to put boards up side of plot, then more weeds for the tip, One more day I think and I will see more of the weed matting under the pile

For the show I am doing with the allotment I have put my name down to help out with  making a cake for people to buy bits and eat in hall

Still waiting on the judge for the plot so getting further along

The birds every where on plot little sparrows eating the bugs and the bird food
