Verdun , it is probably linked to local shows , we enter Village show July but  because allotment is in another village we can enter that show in September , as well but usually away for that one

I known last year several people tried to grow biggest pumpkins on Allotment ?

As I said before I treat allotment as an extension of garden , best of luck in getting one image

Hi Verdun, do you have a long waiting list in your area? As GWRS,s says, its a lot of work to start with but once the main beds are sorted it gets easier.

Found a pile of pallet collars this morning near where I work, will use these as raised beds image

It"s been a wet weekend here went to the plot today to sow more seeds and check if any had germinated from last weekend.

I need to make some room in the GH, if it"s dry next weekend onions, garlic and shallots can go out and a load of iris which are shooting in pots.

Sorted through a couple of boxes of Dahlia's and brought some home to soak

    Happy growing everyone...????

went to allotment to retrieve pots of strawberries, gave our wheelbarrow to allotment society to be used by everyone. Was told there's a half plot right up next to society shop free, that's exactly what I'd want but expect it'll go as we'll be bottom of list ( around30th ) now, such a shame we didn't get a small plot 1st time, think we'd have managed that
