image The first bed finally dug out! The second will be much tougher - it's full of deep seated couch grass. Any recommendations about weedkiller GWRS? You've mentioned using it.

Busy day at plot took the push mower up there and cut the grass paths and the bits of grass on the plot made it look much better, then a bit of digging and removing old brambles and bits of rubbish that had been chucked in the brambles, really nice sunny day and warm, spotted a frog jumping around

will take fire bin up tomorrow and have a fire,  burn the brambles

Esther3 don't know that plant, nice bit of digging

Ginagibbs have you a picture of your pond?

nice that there is new plot holder on your sites

Esther , hello , we have bark chipping paths and use path clear on them

Didn't want to use weed killer on plot but to help us get started we did spray sections with Glyphosate weed killer and it did help

Still use it on side of road ways other side of our fence to help keep them down

Also have noticed some of the cheaper ones are just as good as the more well known ones and a lot cheaper , just check the percentage of glypostate

We tend to buy out of season in the sale , so stocked up just before Christmas , a lot cheaper that way

Best of luck with digging image

Picture shows paths I was on aboutimage

Had a bonfire today it did really well the pile of brambles are all gone, put up a bird feeder with nesting material in and done some digging harvested a cabbage had for dinner with mince

What is a right handled fork? does it have a long pole?

GWRS beans will do well sown now sure they catch up with winter sown ones

Verdun , hello had a look at my diary for March , so far had 3 days and 3 afternoons and probably the same again by end of Month , March is a busy month in getting the beds ready and tidying up after winter

a day at the allotment is about 10-30 to 4-30 later in the summer and obviously a lot less in winter , afternoons about 2 to 4-30

O/H comes up for the day as well

I usually known what main jobs I want to do

We did put a lot of hours in tidying it up when we took it on , originally we only had a half plot and it went so well when the other half came vacant we had that as well , again it needed a lot of work to get it right

Any more info please ask image
