went down yesterday to weed realised that the spuds I had stepped few days ago wanted to be dug up there was about 6 plants where my big feet had flattened them was very surprised got a big bread tray of spuds . hope that is the sign of what is to come ..going to plant some more salads wedenesday and think about looking at the beet .the potatoes stalks are blocking them out this morn put 2x 4foot steel road pins in and pulled leaves back with a rope hope it helps
Verdun, you know what Lou12 said MAN UP, I started gardening yesterday at 6am, it was so hot, my wildflower turf FINNALY came, watering today at 7, grandkids staying so no gardening yet, going to the Pier.
been down this morn dug over the onion beds and turned in bird manure for next year just leave it for a few mths now to soak in when it rains . opened side windows in g/house to jet more air in 80 dgs when I left
Do you know the variety at all, when does it flower? Summer flowering ones, get prunes after flowering, earlies flower on "new wood", OH scares the life out of me, when the pruners come out, but everything seems to be all the better for it. If you dont know the type, I think you have nothing to loose to cut it back, give it an autumn and spring feed, see how it goes.
