  • Nothing much to do in the garden again, pretty much takes care of itself...image

Shuffled some primulas around according to what seems appropriate and planted some snowdrops that have been sat around in a pot...

Found beds for some homeless plants and quest fulfilled, ordered some more, various funky perennials.

Ripped up the lavender as they were making the dead nettles look untidy...calling time on an azalea and a rhodo too, found I'm not that interested in them after allimage

Had a hunt around for hosta #1 and actaea #3 to no avail, also have misplaced a campanula glomerata and a salvia I've forgotten the name of, but everything else seems in orderimage

Garden centre day that has a fantastic kids area so dragged the whole family along image. Saw oriental poppy beauty of livermere that I wanted but couldn't find available online so cleared them out. With some princess Victoria Louise too. Planted said poppies out when we got home, as well as more imperata.

Overall, net reduction of the plants 'stock' by 4, so a little more space in the garage tonight image

Well my lawn as had its first hair cut, moss raked, dandy lions pulled out and a good lawn food sprinkled all over image, also went to the garden centre for Gazanias but they are not in stock for another two week yet, so I bought this lovely Osteospernum

    That's pretty Flumpy.

I commented to my other half about the disappearing compost and I got a physics lesson in response. Apparently "matter can neither be created or destroyed" .... but can 'matter' tell me where my compost goes?!!

  • Looks like lots of folk managed to get outside and do a bit!

We didn't get back until mid afternoon (antiques fair and then a walk around Hardy's Cottage), but I did remember to water our newly laid lawn and newly planted stuff... and also sprung a garden table and chairs from a neighbour prior to their yard sale, so now we can finally... sit out!
