hi amy280 it was a bit of a rush as the wet garden spoilt it weeds are getting thick again I had a job for this morning to take the 4ft post out of ground and put a 6ft in the coxs apple can shake it out as it is slack but rain last night ..( anyhow I don't mind the onions job as pickled onions are my fave this week/end taking out other onions about 600/the reds are still standing tall still might be another week for them
another busy day at the allotment with progress lifting some white onions, finishing red onions and planting swedes along with a manic half hour weeding coz they are getting every where.
Weather forecast north east good tomorrow so more progress planned
Attended a work study day today...could see the sun was making an appearance through the slats in the blinds so was a bit miffed to be spending the day indoors. We managed to have lunch outside though and I had an hour pottering in my garden this evening. Quite a few fallen leaves in the pond (fishing net to the rescue!) and wind-fall apples. Agapanthus and Sunflowers are 'out' though - at last!
I must try to stop having whims - or at least stop acting on them.
There are six plants waiting for me to find them somewhere to live and that's not counting the ones left over from my last GC visit and I can't even say they're refugees from the dead trolley

Keep doing bits in garden , hoping to finish off potting up this afternoon
We have shallots drying , o\h does the pickling , also does a few with chillies in , adds a nice flavour to them
Have a good day everybody
