Doghouse, no suncream tut tut! My Hubby has dark brown eyes, was going to say black hair, but its mostly grey, he never got a tan till we moved here. He doesnt sunbathe, its walking the dogs and gardening. (and he doesnt other with sun cream anymore) Well, he had a crater on his face for 3 months, eventually after a lot of nagging, I made him an appointment for our GP, he and I are almost 100% sure it is skin cancer, just waiting to see a consultant. My grandson has a rare mole, (it is HUGE probably twice the size of a hand) he had to be checked when he was born, because they can be malignant, and internal, thankfully, it was neither. It has to be covered at all times, by clothing and high factor sun cream, because it has a potential to become malignant.Have managed to pick out a few weeds today, been round inspected the plot, put the dustbin out.
Where is this heavy rain we were promised then! Did a bit of tidying up after walking the dogs, watered, checked strawberry runners, yup, rooted, watered, and DEEP JOY, the flower opened on my lady Pumpkin and I have done the deed folks, fingers crossed now!!
Another "lady" pumpkin on my outdoor one, this time, digging, old choiysia died dont know why, trying to loosen and improve soil to re-plant, full of brambles, ground ivy, hard going! But need to do it after the rain before it bakes again! Planted up a semi-shaded border, full of "nice" slug food, and (I am sorry folks!) slug pelletts,OH went out this morning, found those of the --------things sneekily hiding under my new plants, never mind I have given them a nice salt bath!
went down this morn to wet to work in garden did a bit in g/house went down g/sons g/house nipped out a bit watered ..came home did pickling onions washed salted do tomorrow tied up all garlic poor fingers worked to the bone boo hoo snack now enough
I checked on my sunflowers in pots as they were subjected to a test of stem strength in yesterday's wind! They are ok as are the tomatoes which under-plant them - worked quite well so I may do again next year (with even more canes though!).

Filled a wheelie bin with shrub prunings, cut back some hardy geraniums and watered pots.
