Not sunny as promised but mild here in Suffolk today sowed penstemon Cambridge mix, gaillardia Arizona red, rudbeckia goldsturm and geranium painters palette.....window seat of Harrie the house cat has been relocated and kitchen windowsill is now full of the hope of potential plants!
Planted out wallflowers, pruned buddleja back....all overseen by a recuperating Flatters and Harrie the housecat, hoping for more of the same for tomorrow, except with sunshine!
I'm aware of the risk to grazing animals and I didn't allow my clump to seed last year, although that is more about not inflicting my weeds on the neighbours as I don't live in an area where animals are likely to graze.
I understand many people choose not to have poisonous plants in their gardens
Well a nice dry , non windy day here. So divided some mondo grass and crocosmia lucifer for replanting in other areas of my garden. Applied growmore feed to various plants. Gave the lawn a high cut and trimmed the edges. If it fine tomorrow I will renew 10 metre of c/b fencing that I have been waiting to renew for the past month
Another busy day, finished mulching the borders, loaded the van with green waste ready to go to the tip. Shed tidied out. Lawns scarified and edged with half moon cutter. Fed the clematis and the roses. Absolutely shattered. Weather georgous.
cleared out a pot and planted a lilac kathryn havenmeyer I think with some pansies round it. Not very staisfying as I can't do "proper gardening" anymore due to Rheumatoid joints. Better than nothing though as I wait to decide what to do with this new to me garden. Lovely day here and good to get outside.
got going on one of my border revamps, split my large clumps of kniphofia to make repeats, worked in underplaying around shrubs and planted three box balls along the passageway
