Hello Edd. That's a strange experience. Still at least he was wanting something to eat, cant hurt him.
We had a letter from our internet provider recently which said they would be upgrading our system between 1am and 6am last night, so wedutifukky turned everything off and went to bed.
this morning, I tried to send a post on this site and got a message that the service was unavailable. A few minutes later the phone rang and it was them ringing from Melbourne to tell Hubby that we've been upgraded from 1.3 to 6 . Is it gigabytes? Something like that anyway. Time will tell if our service is better.
Brrrrrr. Morning all. Freezy white out there .....but the good news is that its light enough to see how white it is. And it was light when I left the office last night too. And the birds are tweeting madly out there (someone has to compensate for Stephen Fry's silence) .......call me Sherlock, but I think Spring might be on its way
I've just heard from brother - he's in Alice Springs heading for Uluru - apparently it's 'quite hot' ... he's heading for Tassie next week.
Edd - that's so sweet - love Saint-Saens Try him with Britten's Young Person's Guide next? When I was very little I was very keen on Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé (I loved the story as well as the music) and Peter & the Wolf of course. Also some of the music for Coppelia - there's some very accessible stuff out there for youngsters. My son says he always feels 'funny inside' when he hears Greig's Peer Gynt Suite - I used to play it a lot when I was pregnant with him
Hosta, hope all goes well today ((hugs))
I usually have no problem in growing Morning Glory - I grow it up tepees of bamboo canes - I've even known it self-seed in my last garden which was a north-facing inner city 'yard'. The trick is not to plant it out too early or the leaves turn white and it's stunted.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good luck Hosta Saw something yesterday that will gladden your heart ...a report on the latest version of the EU reform document:
" A revised draft was leaked earlier this week. The most significant change being to the economic governance section, which now clarifies that there will still be a single rulebook for banks. Most of the other changes were minor, but pedants were glad to see a split infinitive fixed."
Hello Dove, we dont want to know about anyone in a place thats "quite hot", actually, joking, I app reciate all the weather and the seasons, obviously, not if you live in a flood plain, but just greatful to be alive, and well (actually got a bad throat!)
Good morning Chicky it gladdens my heart too Split infinitives have long been thorns in my side (that's not to say that I don't split them myself of course, but only when required for artistic purposes).
