    rubbish eh Fairy.

I'm  not giving into the desperation for sleep yet. I'm going to stick it out until at least 10.30.

Good news chaps and chapesses. I've eventually got a date to have " the knee" done. April 11th. Seems a long way off, but at least it's a date.

That's great you have a date. Do you think that has anything to do with the lack of sleep - subconsciously worrying about it? image

Afternoon all - beautiful day image

Today I have been sorting out the plants given to me by the lovely Nutcutlet and Dove on our snowdrop walk last week. Snowdrops and some other plants have been planted but others have been divided to make lots of baby plants which should be ready to plant out in early summer or autumn.

Others sound as though they've been busy too.

Sorry to hear you're you're still not sleeping Hosta - it does become a vicious spiral and is totally draining. The establishment of a bedtime / get up routine is the only thing that's really worked for me. Can take several weeks to establish the habit and a reasonable sleep pattern - and it takes an iron will to drag yourself out of bed after only 2 or 3 hrs sleep and not catnap during the day - but stick with it - better than pills if you can (although I do resort to Nightol occasionally if I'm really struggling).

Hope you get sorted soon image

no, I think it's due to the fact that I've given up alcohol.image

To be honest. I've lived with " the knee" for 13 months now, so it doesn't really bother me too much. I know what hurts, so I avoid it.

I was thinking more along the lines of ' suppose op doesn't work', 'suppose something else falls apart'  type of background worry.  image

Stay strong, hang on in there and all that stuff  image

Nah, it's gonna be fine Fairy . I've seen the bit of cartilage on the MRI scan results. Even I could find it once it's opened up. image

As the surgeon said " once I've removed the bit that's causing the pain, what's to cause you pain? "

Busy day (as usual) been swimming and also 'English Conversation' group today. Have been invited to a local chateau tomorrow to discuss work opportunities with the wedding season. Funny, I was looking for a job a few weeks ago and found nothing, now I have a choice of two. The chateau is more money and less hours than the restaurant, but I think the restaurant will offer better opportunities to improve my French and meet local people. Thought it worth a look around behind the scenes at the chateau though.image

Hosta, I hope you get some decent sleep, it must be very hard struggling with sleep. image Good to hear you have a "date" - you lucky thing. image

Runny, I hope your son is getting better.

Have to put Charlie to bed now - we are on the last chapter of Ratburger. image

DD, you put us to shame. Where do you find the time / energy. I'm very jealous.
