Hi Fairy and KEF  What was the title of the show with the tumbleweed? Sorry,  re-read what Fairy wrote - it was on the news. Don't know where they were talking about. Was it being shown to be a fire hazard? image

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

I saw the item on the tumbleweed too Pat.  It's in Wangaratta, Victoria and they call it 'hairy panic'.  It's blown into houses and gardens causing quite a nuisance but they don't seem to think it's a fire risk.

    ((Hugs)) for Lyn x.

Lizzie I hope you're not feeling too sore now.  Good luck to your daughter with the house.

    Have a good day allimage

Thanks KEF. It worked!  I've seen similar views of it before, and it Is  a fire hazard no matter what the fire brigade in Wang say.  It weighs nothing and floats everywhere.  We get it here too, but we wouldn't let it get like that.image

Daughter's offer on house has been accepted! They are signing the first contract next week.

I saw the article on the news about the tumble weed as well, it looks very fluffy and had filled someone's garage and front garden.

I think Edd's rant on the previous page was about Sutton Bank in North Yorkshire. It's between where my uncle and an old school friend live so I have driven up and down it several times, lovely views. But if it were in France there wouldn't be much fuss about it, there are many steeper roads in the various mountain ranges without so many warning signs. No caravans allowed on Sutton Bank, but lorries are allowed and they can cause traffic jams.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
