Hey shall we set our Lego in Chelsea garden show image

Ive got Tulips and daffodils popping there heads up at the moment, the heather has got white flowers, my mint seems to be serviving and the strawberry plants image But the ground is very soggy, we need a couple of weeks dry weather for it to drain.

have you heard of Bury or Rochdale in Lancashire?

Morning Lesley image sounds like the whether in the UK at the moment is a mixed bag! Love sunshine on a cold day! Wish the ground was crisp here, my water but is leaking and the ground is bog like!

I like the sound of choosing your own flowers! At least you know you will like them and that they will arrive! image

I really wish I could share some of this heat with you over there. I've been stuck inside all day with the air con going. I've set it to 24 c, but I start to feel unwell if I get too hot.

ive managed to clean up some seeds that i  have drying in paper bags inside. They included, parsley, marjoram, penstemon and Broccolini. After that I started a new page in my colouring book - finished that and started another page. Then I started playing cards on my iPad until tea time.   Talk about being house bound !

Were now watching Sara Damagi selling properties in France.

    Morning all.

Yesterday's siesta was such a bad move. I was still wide awake at 3am.

Dreech here this morning again. Hubby is about to finish painting the utility room then the kitchen ceiling. Cue the stench of oil based eggshell throughout the house.image

I'm heading to the tunnel to finish my raised beds / waterlily tanks ready for the big water lily split.

Love your little rhyme Wonky and the peace must have been wonderful this morning.

Chicky, if it's Cephalaria Gigantea you're growing: a word of warning. It seeds like a demon and has a huge tap root. Keep it under control and it's a wonderful thing, but don't let it loose.

Have a lovely day one and all.

    Devon.

I've just been mulling a bit about how we have the same date for Valentine's Day, but different for days like Mother's Day, etc. the difference I'm thinking about is that for us, the garden is full of flowers at this time of the year, whereas many of you might need to buy them. You'd be better having the day in late summer. I've always got a vase of flowers in at this time and also a vase with parsley , rosemary and thyme in the kitchen for easy access.

We could do with dry whether here too, think if I tried to now the lawn it would plough it!

OK for the Lego, we just need some green and brown blocks for the winter season. image and lots of little co!ourful ones for the summer season....pruning would be a doddle! image

Yes I agree Pat, spring would be a nicer time for valentines image, but I suppose it cheers us up in these dull months, those fortunate to still have there partners I mean others are left with fond memories image

  • Valentine's Day is traditionally the start of spring - it's was thought to be the day that the birds chose their mates Awwwwwwwwwwwww! image
