Morning everyone, very chilly here, a lot of cold air rolling off the hill

Verdun and Bushman I haven't seen burning done for years, they certainly dont round our way, the hills were particularly purple last year so it doesn't seem to matter?

Busy, been reading back, you sound very well organised hope it feels like home

Pat you feeling a bit better?

Hosta how is your knee, losing all that weight will have made a difference!

Pdoc, any improvement today? We are all getting our party gear together

spent a while walking around the place yesterday was desperate to lift a rake but am still banned, have a helper coming Sat for 3 hours but it's soooooo frustrating

fairy I still have the cushion in the car with me every time!

stay warm and have a good day

Morning Lilly, still a lot of burning done on commercial moors that are managed for grouse and stalking and contrary to some folks views are more diverse than un managed moors both in wildlife and flora as well.

Cold and bright here (N London) this morning - first frost I've seen this winter I think.  'Bout time too.

Hope all are well today.  My ma is under the weather and won't stop worrying - but that's old ladies for you.  Well, some of them anyway. image

Interesting bushman, we have a lot of shooting here, I must ask, maybe I am just not seeing It!

Take care it is slippery out there today

Lilly take a look at the hill. Does it look like a patchwork quilt? if it does then there is some form of management either by burning or by brashing.

  • Morning!

Weather clearly heard me saying I was going out to dig in the Red Clover. It's not p*ssing down with a vengeance :/

Morning all. Frosty here this morning. -5° on the north facing patio at 8am, -1° now. Car was white with frost on the South side, defrosted now.

Man should be coming this morning to install water meter.

IKEA sofas came yesterday, ready made sofas wouldn't have fitted through the front door! They are cream and look nice with the cushions I made from left over curtain material. Loads of packaging to take to the recycling place.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
