Fairy girl I can excitedly announce MY WAGES WENT IN FIRST TIME! !
Good job too because I needed to start buying supplies to get ready for our Easter holiday activities. Still; I'm drafting up a begging and pleasing letter to the likes of Wickes and B&Q so hopefully some good will come of that.
Clari - I'm very pleased to hear that but from what you're saying it sounds as if you're buying supplies for work out of your own money ... even if you get paid back that's really not a good system! (sorry to sound like a worryguts ).
Just a thought, but there may be mileage in seeking some funding that is ring-fenced to pay the salary of the fundraiser (and most important employee). That's not an unusual situation in my experience of working for small charitable operations.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
No sunshine here, but no rain either - time for some gardening. We used our Christmas garden tokens to invest in an acer sango-kaku yesterday, so that needs planting up. Its going in a bed just outside our front door, for a bit of winter interest. Hope the stems stay this red as it grows
It is evicting a rather boring viburnum, so some excavating required first. So better have another cuppa first to keep my strength up
Dove's right Clari - you shouldn't be buying anything for work out of your money - other than the odd box of teabags or jar of coffee to share etc. Not right
I'm considering hanging out washing. Do you think it'll dry or just freeze up ? Makes putting me smalls on a bit tricky...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I still haven't had a chance to read back. Hubby is trying to renew my digital subscription to GW and they keEp asking questions he can't answer. I think he's almost there, now.
Morning chicky I was just looking at images of your Sango kaku, they still have red branches when they are older and the colour changes of the leaves are gorgeous, good purchase

Washing's oot - temps are now above zero ad the sun is lovely. I love having washing out - the smell is wonderful.
Couldn't resist taking a couple of pix - spring is almost here
only half of them out though - but I can wait....
