Your birds sound nice, all I've got at the moment is the rosellas and a small group of owl faced finches.

  • I do hope Hosta's had a good night's sleep - I also hope that he's set his alarm for 8 and is awake now image  Sleeping late in the morning might cause problems tonight!  image

    MORNINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Alarm set for 8, and , even though I was hugely tempted to tell it to sod off, and go back to sleep, here I am.

Pot of tea infusing then I'm ready to hit the day.

    Water temp 27C, heaven.

Dreech out today but very light wind for  a change.

I'm going to hit those hostas in the tunnel today

Morning all! I shall skip over my February wages being late (due Saturday)  and start with happy news that tomorrow the awful asbestos garage is going!! I have to say I'd expected it to blow down several times during storms so I'm do glad we can wave it good bye. It's low grade asbestos but I'm having a professional company in regardless; it troubles me to think of all the DIYers double bagging it and taking it to the local recycling place.

This means we'll be measuring up the garden for the new workshop. We guess what with saving up it'll be at least 20 months of devastation for the garden and house (since we'll now have space to put a skip on the drive to rid the house of the awful plaster) so that's something to look forward too!

Had a good walk around while hacking the hedge back (my body is in shreds: it is definitely an intruder deterrent! ) gain extra access to the side of the garage; there's several bulbs I thought I had lifted coming through (mainly crocus) which is a nice splash of colour. My daffodils seem to be rather awol though as all of the ones I see on my walks are well out but mine seem to have stalled. Oh well; hopefully it'll mean more colour later on.

    Anyone for tea?

    Morning Clari.

I reckon my tea is just about ready for drinking.

Nice to have a plan eh?

    Morning Pat and Wonky.

Wonky, I remember , a million years ago, when I passed my test and I was eventually able to buy my first car ( mark 2 Escort in Daytona yellow with black vinyl roof) I was sooooooooo nervous about driving alone. After about 30 seconds behind the wheel, I thought " this is mine and I can drive it whenever I like" and totally relaxed. I'm sure you'll be the same when the time comes.
