Hello, haven't read back yet, expect it will be several pages.
Back home in France. Seemed a long drive. Stayed with son last night, good to see little granddaughters.
We arrived at Vierzon on a country road and were looking for the A20 to Limoges, all that was signposted was Clermont Ferrand one way, Tours another way and Paris another way. It was a new junction which elderly Tom Tom didn't recognise and it told us to go to Tours - wrong way. The Limoges motorway was a short way down the Clermont Ferrand motorway, but not signposted. So we got back an hour later than we had planned.
We'll go mostly by Ryanair in future, so much quicker and easier. Cheaper too. Tolls and ferries cost more, even counting car hire.
It has poured here, parts of Dordogne have been flooded. Today is bright and cold.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Here is my version of your pie Dove sausage and egg thanks for the recipe - so called Dovefromabove pie
Tasted good used turkey sausages x5 as smaller pie than yours, I ended up not putting the decoration of leaves over the eggs and when I cut the slits the egg leaked out a bit
Had that for dinner last night with some of the purple sprouting broccoli and small red cabbage from the allotment plot, very nice
Dove said "Hosta - Mickfield Hostas is on the road between here and Wonky's place - when you bring your OH up here to Norfolk to visit the Old Vicarage at East Ruston, in order to get home you have to travel past Bressingham Gardens, Mickfield Hostas and Wonky's Award Winning Garden on your way to Beth Chatto's place."
When is Hosta coming to Norfolk? Our cottage is 15 mins from Bressingham. I must look up Mickfield Hostas. And, of course, Wonky's Award Winning Garden! Hope it has a good website and the entrance isn't too expensive

Afternoon Have been around and abouts today whilst working from home .... first off was a visit to the Drs .... I do have a chest infection then I visited the chemist for my antibiotics. Then this afternoon I visited the hospital for a chest X-ray was very quick, hardly had to wait. Got to see it as she downloaded the info. I know I'm no dr, but it looked ok (esp when I googled healthy lung X-rays after I had left) Will hear from them if there is something wrong
Hosta, sounds to me a bit like chronic fatigue after a nasty virus and antibiotics ((hugs)). Take some Selenium ACE to boost your immune system, and take it easy while your body recovers.
BL - Hosta has no plans to visit East Anglia ..... yet! I'm twisting his arm

Apart from all the wonderful gardens I've already told him about, I think they both would enjoy visting http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/blickling-estate/features/explore-the-house-at-blickling-estate
and http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/felbrigg-hall-gardens-and-estate/features/the-hall-at-felbrigg even if just for the wallpaper
Go on Hosta - plan a holiday in the not so far East
