Afternoon everyone, I'm afraid I've been AWOL from forkers and just popping in to Kef's Valentine meal thread as fantasy has been preferable to reality lately.

I've just attempted to catch up....sounds like a lovely day in London BusyL, you have been busy with the move so nice to have a treat out, the brasserie sounds lovely, Dove had some great pics, glad you enjoyed it image

Sorry your still feeling rough Pdoc, hope your soon on the mend image

I'm trying to remember what else I read, riders lovely honeymoon, snowdrops in the green....image a hill walk, Mrs garden in Japan, love to see those cherry blossoms!.... Soundproofing.....image.......malfunction!!!!!! Can't recall anymore image

On the subject of sound proofing.....

The latest update on my over occupied Romanian neighbours......

It turns out that after two and a half months, we haven't actually MET our neighbours yet, as the landlord just turned up unannounced and caught all NINE of them in a two bedroom flat!!!! image he was not impressed to say the least and I believe despite the no English they claim to speak, that the message was delivered loud and clear and that they understand it.

The landlord had to check their ID and see which ones name was on the contract.....none of them it turns out! So the three people that are supposed to live there haven't been and are in Romania!

If the correct people are not in by Tuesday and the wrong ones have not left, the locks will be changed! image we could possibly move out of the basement soon!

I'm actually still in shock and laughing at the incredulity of the situation... Thought you could all join me for a slightly unhinged giggle! image

Have a great day all, our landlord suggested we have a party tonight! image

Speak for yourself Hazel - I'm completely hinged. It's just that my hinges are a bit rusty....imageimage

Brilliant Wonks. It doesn't do their cause any good does it? That sort of nonsense seems to happen a lot. I'd raise a glass to your future peace and quiet - if I drank!. Will a cuppa do?   Cue rusty/unhinged giggling....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hazel, Runny, Fairy, of course we are all unhinged on here...I wouldn't want it a any other way! image I'll toast with tea too now Fairy, pint of Darjeeling coming up image

Runny I really feel for the landlord cuz he has to catch them and they usually ship the extras out when he's coming. He always believed us but was unable to prove anything. He's a lovely chap and he's been our landlord for sixteen years, so couldn't let them win, not after spending thousands on renovating the basement. don't want to be political but I know which way I'm voting come the EU referendum, it will all be like my street otherwise.

Hazel, think I'm going to take my landlords advice and have a punk music party! image sorry if the party is noisy folks but your all invited and its my turn to be a noise polluter! image

Good for you Wonks. I like to think I'm a reasonably rational, considered person who gives others the benefit of the doubt, but it sometimes just feels people are taking the p*** ....

I'm raising my mug right now...image

Aww Wonky.  You shouldn't have had to put up with this situation for soooooo longimage.  I hope the landlord inspected the place while he was there (especially the bathroom)image.  The people who prey on others to line their own pockets without any regard to their wellbeing are the ones to target. (As ifimage).  However things should improve soon and your garden is looking great - much further ahead than oursimage.

It's been snowing on and off all day but not really settling.  Rb you wouldn't get your washing dry outside hereimage.  The tumble dryer is on for the third time - dog towels this timeimage.

Hey Mrs G.  That sounds like a fantastic holidayimage.  Look forward to hearing and seeing more about itimage.

I'm just creaking along on rusty hingesimage

    Get well soon Pdoc.
