    Morning all.

Chilly, pink start to the day but nowhere near as cold as yesterday. Apparently there were over 23 minor accidents on black ice yesterday morning in Norfolk & Suffolk. Makes you wonder if they did any gritting.... Have never seen a gritting lorry on the lanes round here & they still rely on the farmers to help with clearing the roads if there is an accumulation of snow. I think they used to be paid a small fee but maybe not now. Most of them still turn out though for the benefit of the community.

Didnt make it to Maldon yesterday - finished up looking at camper vans & motor homes. OH will probably retire in abt 18 mths & wants a toy to run away in to do lots of walking & photography. He has a bike & a tent but wants something for the winter. We are also planning some extended tours in Europe - and I'm not going back to a tent.... no way!

Today I'm getting stuff ready for our snowdrop trip tomorrow Really loking forward to meeting up with everyone again. image

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

Lovely pic chickyimage.  It's getting lighter here and I can see we have a covering of snow.

Topbird you sound as though you are going to have some great adventures when you get a camper vanimage.  I wouldn't do a tent either image.

    Have a good day everyone.

They grit the road here, but that's because it's a bus route  (although it may also be because it leads to the Golf Club image)  .  From the report on the EDP website it doesn't look as if the A140 was gritted image   http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/watch_aftermath_of_chaos_on_a140_at_roughton_after_12_vehicles_come_off_road_in_icy_conditions_1_4420375

Take care everyone out there!  It's icy this morning too!

Morning/afties all. Snow here too Lesley, but fog with it as well. Makes a change from the seven shades of **** we had yesterday! image

We're fairly fortunate with gritters here but I sometimes wonder if councils look at the forecasts...image

Hope Wonks has a more promising day re the neighbours image

Tents aren't for me either....a camper van might be handy for getting to those remote hills...image image

Hope Hosta and doc are feeling more chipper today

Stay warm dry and safe lovely people. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I spoke to Wonks yesterday just after she arrived home from work - she said things seemed a bit quieter, and there was a woman she'd not seen before, glaring out of the window.  I've heard nothing since ..........

  • Absolutely flying visit from me, hello everyone. image Have guests in B&B and also hosting a coffee morning for French class, so scurrying around cleaning up and baking at the same time. Half term here so I have Charlie to entertain as well - he is going to be the waiter at the coffee morning, bless him. image

Cold but sunny here, no snow, hope you are all warm and safe over there, the forecasts I've seen for the UK don't look good.

WW, as long as your new neighbour glares silently I don't suppose you'll mind. image

Have a good day all. image
