Stunning sunrise and lovely walk this morning, crossed paths with a badger and later a fox. feeling chipper. Very chilly but should be in for a good day. Chicky i may pick your brain about heathers later. Right coffee time i think some proper coffee i may have some Blue Mountain left.
Aye fairy i think heather burning might be a bit extreme in a garden Think i may start a thread about heather as i have old white heather needing tamed.
Warmest fleece weather this morning so I'm happy that the ground is firm enough not to sink into. Sounds as though you had a lovely walk Bushman.
Thanks for the coffee Dove, I'll sit by Frit's fire to drink it
You'll be a bit more comfortable with your temperature today then Pat
Well done with your purchases chicky. I've had lots of heathers over the years and never remembered to cut them back. Perhaps I'll do what Fairy suggests and have a grouse.
All right Verdun, its warmer where you are, but burning methinks you exaggerate!! Gorgeous day here, sunny blue sky, but thick frost, was minus 1, warmed up now to 0d

Morning/afties all. Sharp this morning but we may catch some snow later. What was Verdun saying about spring yesterday.....
Can I take that fire to work with me Frit?
Trimming heathers after flowering is the key - a bit like lavender. Or get some rabbits and grouse to keep them nibbled
Hellebore sounds lovely chicky - what colour? A dusky pink I'm guessing...
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Is it lucky though B'man?

I'm off to scrape the car - have a good day everyone
Lesley - I never remember to cut them back either - that's why I don't like them - mine always look rubbish!
