Then you phone on the day....engaged for an hour, then told all booked for today,

Of course, you can speak to one who is about 14.. did that two weeks ago, tablets nearly killed him. so 8 days to get an appointment for a phone call to speak the real doctor, no answer to my letter so far.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts.x

Lyn, call them and ask for a home visit. That'll sort them out.

Best wishes and hugs for to-day too. x

I have to say , mine is great.

Saw Doc this morning who spent ages patiently talking through blood results ( all good ) and explaining options for the future.

She even told me she'd spoken to a friend in the private sector who has greater knowledge of sleep disorders to get her feedback too.

A good Doctor / practice is a wonderful thing. Sorry for those who don't have them.

  • Hello All,

Just in from Book Club Meeting followed by lunch. The book was a toughie, beautifully written but tricky topic. At least everyone had read it this time so the conversation was at least applicable. Lunch was super as well, little 'local's' place, not pretty but great food. image

Last night saw The Danish Girl at the cinema, beautiful film, beautifully done despite again. a tricky topic. image

I have a very good friend in the UK who is going through a particularly tough time at the moment so I have been spending much of my free time supporting him. He is in a very bad way emotionally and suffering a lot with anxiety/obsessive behaviour etc. a lot of late night calls for help. Not a lot I can do except listen, such a shame for him, he really is the nicest person you could wish to meet but so full of self doubt it is really debilitating. I think (hopefully) he is through the worst for the moment, he has got a counsellor and some good friends nearby supporting him. He just seems to have some very low moments followed by highs and then the lows again. Just getting through the day is so hard for him. I invited him here for as long as he wants but he is in too bad a state to travel, just too much to think about for him. Life is so tough at times, you do wonder what it's all about. image

Hope you can get your Dad sorted out Lyn, such a worry and Hosta at least your doc seems to be working hard for you. Good luck to all.

Have to go now, SM to do (hate it) but there isn't even a drop of milk left in the house so has to be done. image

Will try and catch up later. image

DD , often wondered about a Book club but if you have read the book why talk about it ? Hope you friend pulls through

Lyn , hope it works out for your Dad . The NHS is either wonderful or dreadful at times , had a very bad experience the last time my Dad was in Hospital

Just got back from trip to Allotment image
