Hello everyone. Since its 10.15am here, I assume most of you are in bed now. I've not had any notifications since Dove at 19.36 so I'm thinking if I send this, a whole lot of messages will appear.
Hi Edd. Yes my plot worked. I'm now able to see the other posts.
We've had a very strange summer. None of the fruit trees have managed to set fruit except the various berries. My vegetables are a bit hit and miss. Plenty of tomatoes and beans, but everything else is struggling.
WA and Tassie have had a lot of very bad fires, in fact WA is still fighting them. They are getting temps of 40 c in and around Perth.
We had a great day today (yesterday now). The Garden Paintings Exhibition was lovely, some fantastic paintings, but lots of people. We had to make an appointment from the website, 2.30pm. First we met Matty and her OH at Brasserie Zedel in Piccadilly, that Dove recommended. Delicious food, huge place but great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Thank you, Dove Got back to Norfolk rather late as the train tickets were very expensive before 9pm. We had tea, rather hot chocolate, with Mr and Mrs Matty after the Royal Academy. Then they left and we wandered about, went to Covent Garden.
Bedtime. Nighties all.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hi Hosta. It's hard to explain, isn't it. We've got into habit lately of going to bed around 1 or 2 am and now we can't seem to go earlier. It means that we sleep until about 9 or later and then inevitably get woken by a phone call and then feel guilty for being asleep so late in the day.
We are lucky living on a property where we collect rainwater for our household use. We do have a bore that we had drilled (down to more than 40metres,) but we only use that for the garden. We dont want to pollute our hot water service with lime etc. it is tested to be drinkable, but we don't need to do that.
Hazel, you sound like me - the brain won't stop even though I'm tired. You need a lavender sachet to sniff on - pity I can't send you one. It works like a charm. Hosta you might like to try it as well.

My old Nemesis Insomnia strikes again.
I'm hoping this strawberry and mango infusion will do the trick.

hiya Pat. I went to bed at 10.15 last night and didn't wake until almost 9
but I'm constantly tired.
All I want to do all day is go back to bed and sleep.
Oh you lot!
