Fairy - the first episode of The Night Manager was very good - about to watch the second. Looking forward to watching Trapped - have been recording to take on holiday in a few weeks time - it got a good write up.

What with those two, Shetland and Happy Valley I think there's some very good drama on the TV at the moment image

I enjoyed the Night Manager, don't ask me what it's about, but I find it quite gripping!image

I live in SW France and the lawn is too wet to mow. But snowdrops are nearly over and daffodils are coming out. Earlier than usual. I actually have a clump of bluebells out at the bottom of the drive, they usually flower in early April!

I'm back. Its a bit nippy here. The greenhouse heater looks like it got nudged from its position while we were away, didnt switch on and a minimum temp of minus 2.6 showing. Onions are growing well. I hope everything else survives.

I've got the electric blanket on the bed. Himself has been snoring for a number of hours but is now wide awake and wants feeding. Honeymoon is over, I've pointed him in the direction of the fridge.

Just a mountain of washing to do now...

  • Good morning all image  G'day Pat wherever you are image

It's definitely a spring morning here - a pair of greenfinches on the feeders, a pair of bluetits popping in and out of the nest box and Mrs Blackbird (looking very broody) has popped down to the birdbath for a splash before feeding and going back to the nest - from watching her I think she's been sitting on eggs for several days now.  image

My neck wasn't too bad in the night, only woke me a few times, and this morning the pain is definitely less than yesterday - if I take it easy it'll be fine in a couple of days.  I'll put off visiting Ma until Wednesday image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
