Morning all/afties Pat - glad you're getting some respite from the heat. We've had the same only it's from the rain! It's due back today though.
I see we have some furniture spam and also beds or summat. How thoughtful of them to provide a full service eh?
Welcome home the fidgets - seems as if you've been away for months
Clari - do you have a dog? I wasn't sure......
Think my blackies have a nest across the road beside the little bungalow that has loads of good nesting cover Dove. They're all very busy. Nice to have greenfinches - they seem to be in real decline here.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Chicky your spring flower display is so cheerful. The lighter mornings are very welcome.
Glad you managed to get into the garden for a while Pat. Hopefully you'll get some rain soon.
Hope the neck carries on improving Dove. Our pair of blackbirds usually greet me by running out from under a holly bush. I suspect they are nesting in there and Mr B is very territorial and chases every other bird away.
Fairy, you're right, the green finches disappeared from the garden quite a few years ago now and there were lots of them.
Clari I thought our dog was spoilt but I've never bought her walking boots
I've got a photo of one of the baby Skinks - not very good but it shoots away at the slightest hint of someone being nearby.
And another visitor today - a white eared honey eater ( which I'm reliably informed is a misnomer - they eat insects) . It was resting on a beam under the roof of the back verandah.
Posts
I'm only working in the evening today so have been given a big shopping list.
- dog vaccinations
- new dog bed (memory foam naturally)
- dog food
- new dog toy to replace his broken squeaky duck
- new dog walking boots
- dog first aid kit
.... can you guess we have a dog?
Have a great day all!
Morning everyone. We've had a cool day and I've even got some gardening done. It makes such a difference when it's not boiling hot every day.
still no rain. None since 13 Feb and that was only a quick hailstorm which didn't last more than a few minutes.
Ps. Are you still starting a march site, Dove?

Morning all.
Brightish morning, hard frost overnight but no wind.
No1 Daughter has a call booked at 10.15 ( don't they ever left folk have "time off" any more? ) so I might sneak up to the tunnel and leave her to it.
Hubby off to work, but home around 3.30.
Welcome home the Fidgets. Hope you slept well.

Hugh Bonneville ( aka Lord Grantham ) thinks his Mum was a spy!
I knew his Mum for years, Long before I met Hugh, she was divine , but I never suspected anything sinister about her.

love your wildlife shots Pat. Nice to see things we'll never see here.
Thanks Hosta. I sometimes wonder if I should put them up or not.
We've just finished watching Michael Mosely investigating his sleep problems and his attitudes to various things. Very interesting.
