I forget to say that we got woken this morning by the smoke detector at about 5.30am and frightened the wits out of us. It certainly got us going. The only thing we can work out is that we had the window open all night to get some cool air and this morning there was a heavy fog (no doubt moisture from yesterday's hail storm) and the smoke detector thought it was smoke. We certainly did t have any heater on! Nor cooking.

Do you put some of that lovely bundaberg ginger in, Pat. I think you may have the only supply of ginger nuts. The factory here got damaged in the floods.

I have been to the teppenyaki japanese style restaurant tonight, only we had a Caribbean chef. Very entertaining though.

I can't begin to envision what you were served up - Caribbean style Tepanyaki!!

i have to admit that he uses dried ginger rather than crystallised in the biscuits, but I know what you mean about the Buderim stuff. I used to grow it under the staircase (outside) when I lived in Darwin,  our house was on stilts and had an outside staircase which was typical there at that time. Not sure of the house designs since the cyclone . We haven't been back.

Hubby said to be careful over there - we've been watching Death in Paradise and he says it's as bad as Midsommer Murders! image

That explains it. I've often wondered why you are on the forum at all hours. Have you got any emergencies imminent there? Weather or traffic?
