Hmm - it seems that the words 'lawn' and 'mower' in my post above have been turned into a hyper link by some software called 'skim word'. Clicking on it goes through to lawnmowers in ebay. I assure you I am not trying to sell anybody anything
(not today anyway )
Hope this doesn't mean there's a problem with my 'puter. Might be a problem on the website - unless there's some paid sponsorship going on?
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Topbird We were in the same stituation with our lawn. OH has cut it today, (his birthday treat!) and it makes tho whole garden loo much better.
One & Only paid a flying visit this weekend to celebrate OH's birthday. 14 of us went for a Chinese followed by our monthly quiz night. We came last but 1 or joint second depending which way you look at it. (Only 4 teams this time!)
Had a good tidyup/weeding session ...beginning to look so much better out there now. First time this year that I came in because I had run out of steam rather than light
Acer all planted up - looking good. Lots of things growing away when you get down on your hands and knees and furtle
Sympathies with the neck Dove - sounds ouchy. And hoping secondborn's house is ready very soon Yvie - they are so lucky to have you available as a stopgap (bit of tidying wouldn't go amiss though). Surely there isn't any more fence left to paint Fairy ....or are you starting from the beginning again already?
Was a rather cold day, but didn't matter because friends came to lunch, Coq au Vin, apple crumble, and we sat indoors with the wood burner merrily blazing. Had a good natter. OH is feeling a lot better today.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I got quite a bit done too. Bone meal tickled in and a layer of muck on top in the beds that weren't frozen. Planted a hellebore and tied in clematis shoots. Lifted two carexes which need new homes now.
Touch up painting only - where plants tend to rub against the wood and also where the beds get a battering from the rain. An extra coat on one end of the shed too. Forth bridge syndrome
Nice lunch BL - just the thing on a chilly day.
Didn't fancy the Night Manager. Is it good though GWRS? Anyone watching Trapped - Icelandic Scandi drama?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
This is the time I feel slightly envious of the southern folk - grass cutting, digging, planting, etc. Our garden is pretty solid at the moment and when it warms up it will be mud.
Sorry your neck's still sore Dove but it's been a great weekend. Hope Wonky can get up tomorrow

Sounds like a good time has been had by all - workers and relaxers alike
Topbird - that sounds a bit suspicious
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
