Duke of Argyle- Inverary. Lilyp. Was rather good. They work really hard to keep it going.
Flumpy - no pancakes, still got gingernuts and vanilla currant biscuits left. I'm trying to limit myself, but now that I've thought about them, I might have to make a cup of tea and have another biscuits.
Very wet here - again and there is a strong wind, had to dodge tree branches on the roads to get Charlie to school.
We are/were having pancakes today, however, OH has messed the plans up a bit; Charlie had a friend over for tea last night before Hip-Hop so I made them some pancakes for dessert. I then had to take the boys to Hip-Hop and then as soon as I was back from there I went out to choir practice. On my return I realised that OH (who never clears up) had decided to help - this involved pouring the leftover pancake mix down the sink - that will teach me to nag at him for not helping.
Choir practice ended up a bit of a saga too last night. We normally sing in a community centre that is central for us all. However, our 'leader' had gone on holiday to the UK and all 14 of us arrived at the centre and realised he had taken the key to the hall with him. - oops. Now, I have a friend who lives nearby so I rang her and asked if she would mind us practising in her (large) living room. I did tell her we wouldn't be offended if she said no. Luckily, she said yes, so all 14 of us and the keyboard and percussion instruments turned up at her house. I have no idea what the neighbours thought (she did go around and warn them of our arrival). 14 people in a community hall doesn't seem a lot, but all squeezed into the living room, with her and her mother and the keyboard, suddenly looked rather crowded. Great practice session though, good acoustics in her living room.
Off swimming this morning (in the leisure centre not the garden) and then Running Club tonight although I really am not looking forward to running in this wind and rain - I might have a rethink on that one later.
Enjoy your day all, (and your pancakes) catch you later. Oh, congratulations to Clari too, , don't spend it all at once though, you don't know when the next pay check will appear.

Lilyp, I think I'm too old now to get my first passport. It'll never happen. But I do enjoy seeing these types of programs, I got interested in Scottish history after reading the Diana Gabaldon novels.
Hi Verdun, I have the toolbar, but my God, waiting for the page to load, can't be doing with it today, gets half a page then the rest is blank, white, then a bit more and so on.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Thanks LilyP. Your dogs look gorgeous and very, very comfortable. I've just come back in from walk with mine and we're both drenched.
DD I love the idea of a fourteen strong choir turning up at a house with instruments You do lead an adventurous life. Had to laugh at your OH pouring away the pancake batter. My OH once threw away a jug of marinade I'd just made for a Sunday lunch party we were having.
