Hi everyone. I've been chatting with our son all day so it was a bit difficult to start writing on the iPad. Have had a good day. The weather was still fine (no rain as usual) but the temp was much more comfortable. Even a breeze coming in the doors and windows. Hubby cooked more biscuits, so that son can take a supply back with him. image

One little bit of excitement was that the Skink who arrives most days for some chopped carrot, is now accompanied by two miniature skinks. They are so cute. One of them even joined Mum in eating carrot this afternoon. Son's two cats are itching to get out there and kill them, but no chance are they getting outside. They can just be content with watching through the glass.image

hope everyone has a good day.

  • More haste less speed .........  I'd got an early start today and should have been cooking in the kitchen by now, but as I showered I realised that the shower head needed a good de-coke, so after breakfast I gave it a good seeing to ............... soaked in descale stuff and then a poke, but I poked too hard and totally bu$$ered it up, so I've just had to dash to Homebase for a new shower head. image

On the way back I popped into the farm shop - OH was in a state of mild astonishment image  just a few moments before I arrived a muntjac deer had dashed across the car park and towards the glass doors of the shop - they work on a sensor so they started to open so he didn't really collide badly with them thankfully, and he dashed off from whence he'd come .......

Perhaps he (the deer) was just hungry Dove ....although these farm shops are pricy...probably a bit too 'dear'  for him......image image

Temps were just above zero when I left the house  so not too bad. Sun came out a bit but there's some ominous black clouds hanging up there.....image

Denis was waiting for me when I got in. Still can't persuade him to eat out of my hand. He looks a bit rough...hope Mrs Dennis isn't giving him a hard time image

Hosta image Keep on with it - I'm sure you'll get more good nights.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I've just bought a new shower head too. The one I bought last week was hopeless, water spraying out in all directions where it shouldn't, so I've changed it. New one is fine.

Lovely day now, has warmed up. Need to tackle the veg garden.

Afternoon everyone - have been absent for a couple of days - busy in the garden and also making some major purchases.

I seem to have joined Hosta and Runny in the Wide-Awake-at 3am-Club worrying if we've done the right thing - but a very long chat with OH this morning (we've had several this last week) and I think my head is now back in the right space.image

Feeling absolutely cream crackered today and trying to work up some enthusiasm to go and do the SM shop image.

Told OH about the train Dove - he may also venture out to do some shots of it steaming across the Norfolk marshes if the light and weather is right on the day - could be quite spectacular. Hope neither of you are planning to stand on the tracks for 'a good shot' like some of those muppets the other day... image Wonder what happened to the poor old muntjac after it ran off from the shop? - lots of busy roads round there - not keen on them but hope it made it home safely. Might have given a few drivers a bit of a jolt image

    Lunch is ready ... SYL

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

The deer was seen crossing the ringroad !  Not sure if it used the Pelican Crossing, but my guess is that it didn't.  There's some biggish gardens around there, despite the busy roads - hopefully he and his pals have found a secluded spot.
