Very grey here and a bit chilly, we did have a nice end of day bit of sunshine yesterday though.
Thanks for all the good wishes for my friend, he is in a bad way, so up and down. He has stopped seeing the councillor because he doesn't like his style. He did have until a few weeks ago a super job but has left because he doesn't think he is good enough for it. His boss tried desperately to get him to stay but he is such a decent chap he wouldn't stay because he thought it would be cheating them. Being alone is really bad for him but now without a job he has nowhere to go, all a terribly vicious circle. He has been spending time in the library reading some self help books, at least he feels he knows what his problem is. I am so, so sorry for him, such a decent chap. It is astonishing how many people suffer in similar ways and yet there doesn't seem to be enough support/understanding, even as Punkdoc says, in the medical profession. Very sad.
I am going to see another friend today who is now under a specialist because of problems with her pancreas, I am a bit worried about that too, but her next appointment is in 3 weeks so I am hoping the apparent lack of urgency is a good sign, hoping anyway.
Oh, my post does sound miserable, sorry all, just seems to be a lot of worries at the moment. And the poor garden looks a mess and the weather just not good enough to do much about it. Roll on spring - quickly - we'll all feel better then.

What a shame your friend left his job. When does your job start, or has it started?
The birds here seem to think it's Spring already. Still doing the morning chorus.
Looks grey and gloomy, cold, but I must get out and deal with the greengage tree bed. The cold weather makes my eyes run, then my nose runs. Then my paper hankies get covered in mud from gardening gloves then face is muddy
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning/afties all. Horrible wild, cold wet day here. You can have our rain Pat - plenty to spare!
BL - that's what sleeves are for....
DD - how dreadfully sad for your friend. A vicious circle as you say. I hope your support can help him though. Hard to see the daylight when your head's in the dark.
Hope you're a bit better today flumpy. Think many people are suffering from 'desperate for winter to end' lurgy....in all it's forms
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Don't worry about it, DD. We're all here to listen. After all, if we didn't listen to your complaints, who'd listen to ours?
And yes, Spring better hurry up
It's cold and grey in the NW too, I'm staying in as I'm slowly on the mend from flu like symptoms.
You take care : )
