Well, the house is gleaming ready for our guest arriving Saturday - it was nearly sabotaged by the two beautiful amaryllis on the dining room windowsill - just a nudge from the window blind and they up-ended themselves all over the sideboard and covered the freshly polished parquet with potting compost ......... all swept up, buffed and shiny again now
Supper of courgette and potato frittata and grilled halloumi has been eaten and washed up and we've collapsed on the sofa with the Buena Vista Social Club
