Looks a bit choppy today. We are going Lion fish hunting. Lion fish are not native to the Caribbean, but aquarium owners released them in Florida and they have spread. There is no predator here to take them out, so they are decimating the usual reef fish. So Thursday is lionfish barbecue day. Careful cutting off of the poisonous dorsal spines and filleting produces a white fish that is very nice steamed in foil parcels or barbecued. See you later folks.
Fidget remember to wear your pith helmet if you're going lion hunting. Take care and have fun.
Yvie, next time it snows I'll send it down your way just for Mabel. It's wonderful to see little ones enjoy the snow
Happy Birthday to your OH Lizzie, When you said his favourite restaurant was on holiday it conjured up images of a roadside snack van. I'm sure you'll have a great lunch.
Glad you found the source of the smell Dove. People win prizes for 'design' without taking into consideration practicality.
About 20 Lion fish removed from the reef. Currently marinating, and will be served with rum punch later.
Ive just sent back lunch. The pile of melted cheese in a doughy wrap was not a quesadilla wirh salad, guacamole and sour cream , as described. Totally inedible was a polite term for it.

Happy birthday to your lovely OH BL - and many happy returns of the day
Just for him
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Forgot to say thanks for good wishes for son
. It's 2nd son so a bit easier than it could have been. First son thinks he's dying if he gets a splinter

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my OH. Looking forward to that beer, Dove when we are back in Norfolk in April.
