I'm a bit late on board this morning - instead of waking first as usual I was still sound asleep when OH brought me my first mug of coffee!   So instead of coming down in my dressing gown and noodling with you lot I had my shower and dressed and now I'm on the sofa with my second mug of coffee.

It's probably a good day to have a change of routine as we've a friend coming for the weekend and there's housework and cooking to be done now so that I can relax and natter when she's here.

It's been trying to snow here this morning image  but I think we've seen the last of it for the time being - there are blue patches of sky and the sun's trying to shine.

HOSTA - you have a PM image

Early today Lily because I heard son having a shower about five o'clock.  Pretty sure he's got 'flu and he woke in a sweat So I've changed his bed and thought I'd just get on with stuff.

Fairy I've got the thickest, softest fleece you could imagine and I've been living in it this winterimage.  The walk was lovely though.  Lou I would change the dog for a cat any wet and windy dayimage.

A coffee in bed is a lovely treat Doveimage.  Did your OH find the source of the whiff yesterday?

    Have a good day everyoneimage

    Morning all.

Lovely sunny morning and not a breath of wind.

Pat, glad Hubby is safe and returning home.

Right guys, that's 2 consecutive nights I've not ended up getting up!! Fingers crossed the 8am alarm call is sorting me out to a regular night routine.

Thanks for the PM Dove, Interesting reading.

More hosta splitting to-day. Not sure if I'll get it done before No1 daughter arrives on Saturday for a few days.

    Almost the weekend guys.

    Devon.

Morning allimage. Late this morning - have a Drs appt in a bit, so I'm sat in the carpark noodling away the minutesimage

Great evening with my "garden club" friends last night. Herefordshire has been selected as our destination for a weekend away this September.  A few potential gardens already on the visiting list .....but if anyone has any "must sees" round that way then let me knowimage

Another night out with old (non-gardening) friends this evening .....feeling like a social butterfly this weekimage  Don't worry, normal chrysalis state will return very soonimage

Lily, I'm only splitting those hostas in my polytunnel. Those in the ground will have to wait until the ground dries out a bit. Not frozen here, but totally waterlogged.

Lesley, hope son is feeling better soon.

The source of the smell is thought to be the tray under the drain in the fridge - it seemed to be full of unidentifiable smelly gunk!  It was almost impossible to get at, but OH worked miracles with long BBQ skewers, J cloths and kitchen roll, then antibac liquid.  Only the slightest whiff this morning after the kitchen had been shut up all night so hopefully some Neutradol will sort that out.  If it comes back I think we'll need a kitchen fitter to come and deconstruct the kitchen image  Talk about a design flaw image

Morning all, Frosty and sunny here, a beautiful day, hopefully I'll get in the garden later.  Have to vote today as our MP has resigned.

Fairy, Lesley - Firstborn would love it to snow here as Mabel, my 3 year old grandaughter, has never seen snow.

Glad you've sorted out the smell Dove.

    Glad hubby is safe Pat.

    Off for a browse.

    Morning all.

OH's birthday today. I'm taking him out to lunch to a restaurant with a Michelin star. I hope it's nice. His favourite restaurant is away on holiday.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
