My roses seem to be very happy this year, perhaps due to copious rainfall and no cold weather to check their growth. This goes both for those I pruned much harder than usual, and those I never got around to pruning at all. The latter are going to get a right going over when their main flush is over soon which will enable me to remodel the beds they are in. A bit unconventional but that's how it must be!!
My shed is covered with a blue clematis which normally is very poor but this year its everywhere also a passion flower which is trailing into next doors tree
Everybody's colours are so lovely, my garden is lacking a bit in colour at the moment, I'm waiting for all my annuals I've grown to start flowering, I have a few Marigolds and Lobelia in flower though.
And some Day Lillys
My Hollyhocks are also in full flower and diving me mad to be honest, it is like a flaming triffid.......any ideas on how to tame it anyone??
Lily, Sunflowers are great because they can just sneak in the back of a border and you can still grow everything below them

Do you have a photo of your agastache Verdun? Would love to see it!
My star at the moment, in my tiny garden, is a clematis viticella Alba Luxurians
I think I'll be very sad when it stops flowering....
Joyce- shame you're not my neighbour...would love to come over and help you water.
Is there any way you could ask somebody to help you, or have a hose installed, which may be easier?
