the Rudbeckia indian summer is still going strong. Bugs like them a lot. I found two different types of ladybird resting on them, maybe they are looking for a suitable winter shelter?
Hi gardening granny. Yes, it is schizostylis Major. it is supposed to flower into december. A very valuable plant which I will get more for next year. Oh, dear. My plant shopping list is not getting shorter!
Thanks for that idea DW - it had not occurred to me to save seed! MInd you my house seems to be full of little pots of seeds waiting to be put into containers for storage....as well as a nice tray of violas from saved seed.

Gardenning Granny, I grew 'Bella' from a packet seeds, and only 5 came to life!
I can´t imagine why they are so miserly with them, as my established plants produce
lots of (absolutely identical) children (must have a hundred seeds by now!)
